Neuropsychology is the study of how the brain affects behavior. The different parts of the brain are responsible for different functions and abilities. Injury and/or disease in the brain can impact a person’s wellness and abilities, like memory, communication, or mood. Time: evaluations usually take 3 to 4 hours. There are some instances where more time is needed. The evaluation consists of a clinical interview, evaluation process, assessment of abilities, emotional functioning, and interviewing close family or friends. After the evaluation is complete and all information is collected, then it is processed, and the results are evaluated. Then a follow-up session is scheduled to review the results of the evaluation. A copy of the test results will be provided to the person. Copies of the test results can be sent to your physicians with the person’s consent.
