Lindsay Eatman, Psy.D.

Dr. Lindsay Eatman is a licensed Psychologist at Baytree Behavioral Health.  She earned her doctorate degree from the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Flagler College.   She was trained as a generalist with a concentration in neuropsychology.  She can treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral concerns including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, difficult transitions, concerns with aging, and coping with neurocognitive changes.

While Dr. Eatman has been trained to treat a variety of concerns, her focus has always been working with the military population.  Her investment in the treatment of the military population comes from her time in military service.  Dr. Eatman is a OEF and OIF veteran and served in U.S. Navy for 6 years active and 2 years reserve as a Fire Controlman for Aegis weapon system.  Her time in service inspired her to provide psychological health and wellbeing for fellow veterans in the community.  While working at the Bay Pines Veterans Administration Medical center in St. Petersburg, Florida, she was trained in behavioral interventions like prolonged exposure and acceptance commitment therapy designed specifically to treat PTSD.
Additionally, while at Alexandria Veterans Administration Healthcare System in Pineville, Louisiana she was trained and certified in VA-approved evidence-based Cognitive Processing therapy (CPT), and Problem Solving Therapy (PST). During her time at Alexandria Veterans Administration Healthcare System, she worked in the level II Polytrauma team participating in traumatic brain injury evaluations for post-deployment veterans, in the Community Living Center where she provided services to veterans in short-stay rehabilitation, restorative care, long-stay care, long-stay dementia care, palliative and hospice care, and respite care for family caregivers, and in the Post-Traumatic Stress clinic working with veterans who had experienced trauma from combat, sexual assault, and natural disasters.
Dr. Eatman works to be realistic and practical, and tailors all therapeutic interventions to the needs of the individual. She will use a collaborative, and empowering approach to help clients become their own therapist to ensure that all therapeutic gains are maintained in the future. She uses research-based interventions designed for the specific concerns that the individual presents and works to assist in identifying values and meaning that the individual wants to life their life by.
In addition to therapeutic services, Dr. Eatman also provides Neuropsychological testing services. Neuropsychological testing provides insight into an individual’s Cognitive strengths and weakness in the different domains of thinking. Testing can help a person gain insight in the difference between normal age-related cognitive changes and changes due to disease and injury. Neuropsychological tests can be a part of a medical evaluation, provide diagnostic clarification, and aid in treatment planning.
