With the addition of a nurse practitioner, Baytree Behavioral Health can now offer integrated behavioral health. Nearly all psychiatric conditions are best treated with both psychological treatment (therapy/counseling) and psychiatric medications. At Baytree, with both types of providers being under one roof, we will be able to easily communicate with each other about observations and/or concerns. With this type of collaborative setting, research has shown time and time again that overall psychological outcomes are improved. Although, we are not able to prescribe controlled substances such as Adderall, Ritalin, Atvian, Klonopin, Valium or Xanax, most symptoms are managed well without controlled substances.
