Nola Trossman, FNP, PMHNP

Nola Trossman is a Dual Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner across the life span.  Nola received her BSN from the University of Central Florida.  She holds an MSN, APRN, with a specialty in Family Practice from Keiser University Fort Lauderdale, a Post Master’s certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Florida State University. Nola grew up on the Space Coast and graduated from Satellite High School.  Her interest in science and zeal for helping others started from the time she was young.  She has an extensive background in nursing with over twenty years of experience, including working in an Emergency Department/Trauma unit, working as adjunct faculty at a local University, and 10 years civil service for the Department of Defense where she worked as a Disease Management Nurse, Clinical Case Manager and served as the Deputy Chief Consultant for the Air Force Surgeon General helping serving our Veteran and Active Duty population.  Nola continued her education by becoming a board Certified Family Practitioner, and then on to become a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. One of Nola’s primary goals as a Psychiatric APRN is to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness, ensuring a judgment free atmosphere for patients and family members seeking mental health care. Nola continues to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner part time at a medical urgent care.
